      Aleksei: hi
           DM: yo
DM: So who's actually here atm?
      Aleksei: <-
Ilya: probably should have sent a reminder email
         Ilya: fwiw
DM: Well, that's one victi… err, I mean player.
           DM: >.>
DM: Yeah, I'll do so next time.
      Taranis: Yo
Aleksei: I only know we're playing because I asked on HL
DM: ChrisG said he wasn't around today… ChrisR knows, and… I assume Erin is about?
      Taranis: She's sitting right here
Aleksei: Exploiting information cascades for fun and profit
DM: Just going with the (information) flow
        Elias: me
           DM: aha.
         Ilya: well
DM: And that's 4… ChrisR is probably still dealing with connecting to the internets.
           DM: so...
         Ilya: that's most of us
DM: let me start with a bit of a recap.
      Aleksei: We found a lake!
Aleksei: On the lake is like a fort or something?
DM: Having followed the bandit hierarchy up two steps, the party has found themselves on the shore of Tuskwater Lake, outside a keep that seems to be inhabited by the bandit leader… a terrifying fellow who the bandits have referred to as the Stag Lord.
           DM: What next?™
Aleksei: He wears druid tier 2 helmet
Ilya: Little did the party know that they are only Level !
         Ilya: 1
Ilya: and are going to get their asses kicked
Aleksei: Yeah this guy has clearly killed Onyxia
Aleksei: So he must be a badass
      Aleksei: So uh
Aleksei: I seem to recall that we found the keep to be difficult-to-sneak-into
      Aleksei: Design-wise
Ilya: it was surrounded by a wall
Ilya: a palisade for that matter
      Aleksei: Maybe we should
         Ilya: and it had lookouts?
         Ilya: I think?
Aleksei: Leave this alone for now
Ilya: You know I would agree, meta-game-wise
Ilya: but I can't think of a good reason to do so in character
      Aleksei: I can't either.
      Aleksei: Let's, um
         Ilya: So
      Taranis: Well
Ilya: my plan that I had last time
Aleksei: Let's try and bluff our way in
Ilya: was to walk right up
         Ilya: and yes
Aleksei: Which I guess was the plan right
         Ilya: bluff them
      Aleksei: yeah
         Ilya: So we have
         Ilya: 1. this guy's so-called alcohol
Ilya: 2. the head of the woman who was supposed to bring it

<<< Aleksei has joined >>> <<< 02:08:19 PM >>>

         Ilya: So we can say
Ilya: Here we brought you your shit
         Ilya: No she's dead, sorry
      Aleksei: "Adventurers killed her"
Aleksei: "We drove them off though"
DM: It's a palisade. Giant logs driven into the ground about 3-6 inches apart.

      Aleksei: So
Aleksei: We were discussing how we'd walk up
      Aleksei: And be like
      Aleksei: Hi
      Aleksei: Here's your alcohol
         Ilya: Yep
DM: The keep is surrounded by a wall made of vertical wooden logs, about 3-6 inches apart. The main approach is a road heading north.
Aleksei: Now here's my question, k
Ilya: Bluff our way straight in
      Aleksei: Suppose we do tha
      Aleksei: t
      Aleksei: And he's like
         Ilya: Yeah?
      Aleksei: Cool
      Aleksei: Now go away
      Aleksei: We're done here
Ilya: Then we slaughter them all.
Ilya: As far as I can tell
      Aleksei: Well
Ilya: There's no way for them to accept our large boxes of booze
         Ilya: without opening the door
         Ilya: and us handing them
         Ilya: So
Aleksei: It's not that I'm against going in there and fighting people
      Aleksei: Totally not
      Aleksei: But
DM: Your scouting of the area suggested that while the bandits had sentries, the sentries didn't seem interested in any approach to the keep other than the main one.
Aleksei: Maybe there are a lot of them
Aleksei: And then they kill us
Ilya: Then we will kill a lot of them!
Taranis: we're also short a bottle, you may note.
         Ilya: meh
Aleksei: You're pretty confident of our abilities there Ilya
Ilya: I have nothing else to be confident in here
Aleksei: I mean I can only heal you so much
Aleksei: And then you will die
         Ilya: Yeeeeah
Aleksei: Band-aid box will run out of band-aids
Ilya: well I don't have a better plan
DM: The scouting also noted about 3-4 sentries on the roof, and a bunch of movement on the ground level. No way to tell how many, but it's at least a dozen in total.
Aleksei: I think maybe we should do like this:
Aleksei: We go with the plan
Aleksei: But then if he's like, fine, now gtfo
DM: Let's also have one more perception check from everyone?

      Aleksei: Guys there's roaring
         Ilya: Coming from where
           DM: inside the fort.
Taranis: If it looks like too many, we'll cut off some more of the supply by removing other bandit encampments

Taranis: We're probably just as well off denying him his liquor
Elias: except this way he's distracted...either by the rage induced by liquor, or the drug
DM: Are you talking long term, btw?

Elias: no I meant this particular case we have

    Bandit #3: What about beaky?
      Aleksei: What's a beaky
    Bandit #1: I suppose, yeah… he's the boss's pet.
         Ilya: ...
Ilya: Does he roar real loud?
Bandit #2: We caught him a week or two ago.
Taranis: And what type of creature is this Beaky?
Bandit #1: Yeah, can't sleep a wink at night.
Bandit #3: Boss doesn't seem to mind though.
    Bandit #2: It's the weirdest thing… looks like a bear…
Bandit #2: but has the head of some kind of bird.
      Aleksei: // ...
         Ilya: ...
Bandit #3: What'd that wizard call it?
      Aleksei: // let's gtfo immediately
    Bandit #1: An owlbear
      Taranis: That... wizard?
    Bandit #3: Yeah, that's it.
Aleksei: They have a wizard too?
Ilya: You also have a wizard on your staff?
Bandit #2: Nah, some sod we killed off a little while ago.
         Ilya: whew
Bandit #3: Seemed interested in Beaky though.
Ilya: //dude has a *pet* owlbear
      Aleksei: // Question is
Aleksei: // Do any of US know wtf an owlbear is
      Aleksei: // in-character.
DM: Well, let's roll up some K:Arcana
      Taranis: which knowledge skill?
Elias: is it friendly towards your boss?
      Taranis: /try 11
*** DM rolls attempts for Taranis :
 *** DM 1d20 < 6 = 6 > + 11 = 17
         Ilya: /try 1
*** DM rolls attempts for Ilya :
 *** DM 1d20 < 16 = 16 > + 1 = 17
Aleksei: // I mean it's a reasonable conclusion that anything with "bear" in the name is badass
      Aleksei: // But, you know.
    Bandit #3: Friendly? Hah.
Bandit #2: We keep it in a pen. Throw some horse or cow in every so often.
        Elias: so it's wild.
Bandit #3: Boss doesn't want it killed for some reason.
Elias: and you can't control it
         Ilya: //dark phoenix rises!
 *** Bandit #3 shrugs.
DM: Both Taranis and Ilya are aware of what an owlbear is.
DM: And that it is a magical beast.
Ilya: and that it is big and tough and we would be fucked
         Ilya: ?
DM: The result of perhaps some odd magical experiments gone horribly awry.
Taranis: So bear with bird head, scary
        Elias: Hmmm....
DM: You know it's pretty nasty, and rather hard to kill.
Aleksei: Well it sounds like we can take these guys
DM: That is the extent of your knowledge.
Elias: We could let it out and let it run wild in the complex
      Aleksei: Right
         Ilya: Well the problem is
Ilya: while the number of men they have isn't huge or insurmountable
Ilya: it's that they have terrain advantage
         Ilya: on the approach
Ilya: if we can get IN
Taranis: Yeah, getting in would be rough
         Ilya: then that's great
         Ilya: we probably win
         Ilya: hm
Taranis: I say let them sweat some more
Aleksei: We do the bluff thing imo
Ilya: what would it take for us
Trip: (My uncle wanted a dancing owlbear for his act.) We assumed he was making it up.
Ilya: to circle around the back
         Ilya: of the palisade
Ilya: and knock down one of the posts
         Ilya: without them noticing
Ilya: you said the sentries were only concerned with the front entrance.
Taranis: it sounded like they didn't keep a good watch of anything but the main approach
         Ilya: right.
Elias: there are other entrances, yeah
DM: Well, getting around back would be pretty easy, as I said, the sentries don't seem to be paying attention anywhere else.
Ilya: perhaps we deliver the booze up front
DM: Pulling a post off would be pretty noisy though.
Ilya: with like me and aleksei
Ilya: and then the rest of them like
Ilya: i dunno, we have a wizard
         Ilya: could we burn it
Ilya: and then chop it down
         Ilya: or something
         Ilya: something to weaken it
Taranis: They would proabbyl notice the palisade catching fire.
Taranis: I mean I could set it on fire, that is easy.
Ilya: well we don't have ot let it spread
Taranis: (archers can do that too)
      Aleksei: Ehh
      Aleksei: Big standing logs
Taranis: I don't know how to control a fire at the moment
Aleksei: Don't catch on fire THAT easily
Aleksei: Like a fire arrow won't do it I bet.
           DM: probably not.
DM: And it would take a bit of magic.
Ilya: we have some of that alchemical shit
         Ilya: don't we?
           DM: That would work.
Ilya: from the dude at Oleg's
      Aleksei: We do
Elias: well we could have our noisy, non-stealthy companions up front providing a distraction and the not so noisy ones sneaking in the back to let the thing out.
DM: It would take a few rounds though.
Taranis: So we could, say, soak part of one log in oil, and the ones next to it in water... but that involves getting up there
Elias: or set it on fire....that works too
*** Aleksei has a flask of alchemist's fire
Taranis: (to try and ensure only one log burns)
         Ilya: also if it spreads
         Ilya: ray of frost?
      Aleksei: Good point
DM: You can get to within 30 ft of the wall pretty easily.
DM: do you plan to throw from there?
         Ilya: so after 30ft
         Ilya: then what
         Ilya: they get spotted?
Aleksei: I bet it's hard to miss a stationary log
DM: Well, then you lose cover.
Ilya: Are they watching the back?
Taranis: So we can very safely get to within 30 ft
Taranis: chance of being etected goes up after that, substantially
         Ilya: well
DM: Not particularly well, but there's a glance every so often. What I mean is that there's no check required to get to within 30 ft. Closer requires stealth.
Ilya: we could set it on fire and then sneak in the front when they're distracted
         Ilya: <_<
         Ilya: silence means yes?
      Taranis: well
      Taranis: hmm
           DM: speak now.
Taranis: If they spot a fire they're going to go put it out.. and they're going to spot a fire
         Ilya: right
         Ilya: //brb door
Taranis: So we start a fire, and then go in through... where?
Taranis: they won't open the gate
           DM: as you're discussing this...
 *** Bandit #1 snickers.
Elias: What are you snickering about?
    Bandit #1: Nothing
Elias: Really, what are you gaining by being silent?
        Elias: what's so funny?
Bandit #1: Just picturing Auchs try to put out that fire. I'm not sure what would do more damage to the wall, the fire or him.
*** Bandit #2 chuckles at that.
Aleksei: I think the idea was
      Taranis: Auchs?
Aleksei: We burn down a log
Aleksei: And go in through there.
Ilya: i was saying we go up to the gate with the stuff, THEN set shit on fire
Ilya: and then force our way in
Bandit #3: Big guy. One of the boss's lieutenants.
Aleksei: Or burn it a bit, then like, knock it down
Ilya: and force them to deal with both us
         Ilya: and the fire
         Ilya: OR that, yes
         Ilya: but that requires stealth
Ilya: and then when the thing is down
         Ilya: they will notice
Ilya: so that's not a great idea
Bandit #2: Not the brightest peg, but he's right nasty if you take his dolls.
        Elias: his.....dolls?
Bandit #1: Some knights and dragons.
Taranis: (also, we would have to put someone on starting the fire; though that's a good role today for our missing dwarf)
      Aleksei: Or Elias
      Aleksei: He has good aim
      Aleksei: I should hope
Elias: Your boss keeps a wild owlbear, is a raging lunatic unless sauced, and his lieutenant plays with dolls.
      Aleksei: Alchemist's fire pewpew
Ilya: right, that's what I was thinking
Aleksei: Yeah why do you work for this guy
    Bandit #2: Pays well.
Bandit #3: Get to set your own hours.
*** Ilya looks at the 20 silver between the lot of them
*** Ilya looks back at the bandits
         Ilya: Pays Well, huh
Bandit #1: And we get to travel.
         Ilya: :|
 *** Bandit #2 shrugs.
Bandit #2: We're coming back from Pitaxe.
      Taranis: Pitaxe?
Bandit #3: A hell of a good time was had by all.
 *** Bandit #3 grins.
Bandit #2: A city a ways west of here.
         Ilya: Where's that?
Elias: There are cities out here?
Ilya: And what sort of good time did you have.
Bandit #2: The kind that leaves us with only a handful of silver each.
Bandit #3: Took our horses too.
      Aleksei: We've heard about Pitaxe
           DM: err…
           DM: sorry, misread a thing.
Aleksei: // Right on the rumors page
           DM: s/pitaxe/Restov
      Aleksei: Oh well then
      Aleksei: That's different
      Aleksei: Also that's east
      Aleksei: Northeast!
         Ilya: yeah I'm confused
DM: Aye. Pitaxe is about a month west.
      Aleksei: So wait what.
DM: But I misread this here thing, they were in Restov.
      Aleksei: k.
Ilya: It makes me sad that they were not immediately arrested and hung in Restov.
         Ilya: damn sneaky bandits
Aleksei: Yeah but I guess that's what we're here for, right?
Taranis: // I think if we put our missing dwarf on setting the wall on fire... we can give this a try
      Aleksei: Well first of all
Aleksei: Let's let these guys go
Aleksei: So they don't sit here listening to us plan
DM: Standard "If I see you again" deal?
      Aleksei: Yes
      Aleksei: Totally
Aleksei: If we see you guys being bandits again
Taranis: // Let them go? They already heard some of it
DM: They nod furiously and run off.
Aleksei: Ilya will kill you with his sword
Elias: also if you warn your boss
      Aleksei: Yep
Elias: or any of your friends
      Aleksei: Same deal
      Aleksei: Sword
      Aleksei: Right to the face

<<< Bandit #2 has left >>> <<< 03:08:30 PM >>>

      Aleksei: Think so?
           DM: Well, they're heading North.
      Aleksei: See, no worries
 *** Elias shrugs
Elias: I'm just surprised we let them go
Elias: I thought we were charged with cleaning up trash like them out here.
Aleksei: Well we have to give people a chance to become better!
      Aleksei: And like, repent
Taranis: We have some forgiving people here.
Taranis: So, if we're going to approach this fort openly...
Taranis: How do we convince them that we're bandits?
Taranis: We don't look like any of the bandits
Ilya: But we don't not look like bandits either.
Taranis: My point is... as far as we've seen
Taranis: there have been no bandit wizards
      Taranis: or heavily armored bandits
Ilya: the bandits are not wearing uniforms
         Ilya: or anything
      Aleksei: And neither are we
*** Aleksei is dressed like some sort of explorer or traveler
*** Aleksei and definitely not a cleric
*** Aleksei hides his holy symbol
Taranis: Well, we can try it
         Ilya: well
           DM: ok
Ilya: aleksei is wearing armor though
         Ilya: right
           DM: So, front door, eh?
Ilya: so that's really one count against us
         Ilya: the rest of us
Taranis: Keep me in the back, throw something over Aleksei's armor
      Aleksei: Chainmail
      Aleksei: But under my stuff
Taranis: have our dwarf monk, who is not here, circle around back with the alchemist's fire.
           DM: ok
Ilya: you mean our half-elf ranger
         Ilya: with dex and BAB
Aleksei: I have like a traveling cloak over it
      Aleksei: And whatnot
Taranis: Who then what, shoots people over the wall?
      Aleksei: What? no
Taranis: When she can't see anything?
Ilya: no, shoots the wall with fire
Aleksei: He throws the alchemist's fire
      Aleksei: At the wall
      Taranis: yes
      Taranis: and after that?
        Elias: low light vision only
Ilya: waits for the chaos to start
        Elias: not dark visino
Taranis: Spends half the fight moving around to join us?
      Aleksei: Sure
Taranis: shoots people he can't see?
      Aleksei: No
Taranis: I'm trying to take advantage of Granger not being here
Elias: so I'm just shooting a random wall?
         Ilya: I can see that
Elias: or log on the wall?
Elias: is that what is going on with this plan?
Taranis: Does anyone have his sheet, for example?
Ilya: but he's a worse candidate to be back there
         Ilya: ok whatever
Ilya: let's have the monk do it
           DM: Ok.
Aleksei: It's probably hard to miss.
DM: Well, it should be pretty easy.
           DM: so.
Ilya: shouldn't you be able to see the sentries
DM: the rest of you walk up front.
         Ilya: from back there
Aleksei: When we go in we're going to try to free the owlbear right
Aleksei: So that it goes on a rampage
Ilya: I mean that sounds like A goal
      Aleksei: Sure
Ilya: maybe not all of the goal
Elias: it depends on if low light vision will grant that or if it's too dark
Taranis: Well if we're in there, we want the owlbear locked up
Aleksei: No not all, just an instrumental goal
Taranis: so we can let it out, and get clear
Taranis: or *not* let it out, and stay in there
Aleksei: What time of day is it
Elias: I assumed we were doing this at night
        Elias: for the best cover
DM: Well, by this point, late afternoon.
DM: You've spent most of the day exploring.
Ilya: this plan doesn't particularly rely on cover

        Elias: o....kay
Taranis: I guess we put the most bandit-looking people in front as we walk up?
Elias: then I doesn't matter who sets the fire
DM: You get up to the gate.
Elias: but for simplicity sake sure, the monk's doing it
Ilya: We have the monk set the fire because his player is not here
DM: (btw, how are you timing it?)
Elias: yes yes, I get that
DM: (He's setting the fire after you get in?)
         Ilya: :|
         Ilya: no
           DM: (Before?)
         Ilya: he's setting the fire
Ilya: while we talk at the gate
DM: Ah, ok, so about simultaneous.
Ilya: so that during the conversation
         Ilya: they're like
         Ilya: OH SHIT FIRE
           DM: Right.
Ilya: and we can take advantage of that
DM: Ok, well, you get up to the gate.
Taranis: He should be able to tell when they open the gate

DM: Your last attack roll was a 9, right?
           DM: that was touch?
         Ilya: was a 10...
Taranis: it was an effective 6
      Taranis: due to melee
Taranis: this is a 15 touch
           DM: ah, right
           DM: ok
           DM: that's a hit
      Taranis: /roll 1d3+1
 *** DM rolls dice for Taranis: 1d3 < 1 = 1 > + 1 = 2
      Taranis: woo, 2 damage
           DM: well, funny thing.
           DM: he had 1 hp
         Ilya: \o/
         Ilya: we're the best
*** Old Man reverts to his original form, a withered old man.
      Aleksei: Whew
      Aleksei: We won!
DM: he looks like he's seen better days.
 *** Ilya sighs heavily
Aleksei: ... so who the heck was this guy anyway?
Ilya: This must be the old man we were told about.
DM: Let's have a healing check.
Ilya: Insane, probably some sort of druid.
Taranis: holy crap that little thing finished him?
         Trip: Good question.
      Aleksei: /try 7
*** DM rolls attempts for Aleksei :
 *** DM 1d20 < 3 = 3 > + 7 = 10
      Aleksei: ;heal
DM: Well, you can't tell much, but it's fairly obvious that he's been beaten.
           DM: A lot, and recently.
Ilya: I guess the big boss guy kept him as some sort of deranged pet.
         Ilya: //... by us?
         Trip: heehee
           DM: Nonlethal damage.
Trip: Not sure you needed a check for that.
Aleksei: So I guess the boss guy beat him?
Aleksei: Man he is really evil
Trip: Well, we beat him worse.
      Aleksei: Hitting an old guy
      Aleksei: Yeah but
Ilya: Yeah, we need to go find this guy.
      Aleksei: He started it!
         Ilya: And end him.
      Aleksei: Totally.
      Aleksei: But
Trip: Agreed. Still not sure how.
Aleksei: I am out of heals for multiple people
         Ilya: only 1 per day?
Aleksei: // this is the same day
      Aleksei: // isn't it
         Ilya: //as what
Aleksei: // as when we fought bandits last time?
      Aleksei: // no?
      Taranis: hell no
         Ilya: nope
Taranis: it is like 4 days later
         Ilya: not even a little
      Aleksei: Oh ok then
Trip: We had a long walk.
      Aleksei: Then we're good
      Aleksei: Let's go
         Ilya: So
Ilya: What we need to do is
Ilya: figure out if there's a way up and out of this place
DM: The battle at the ford was May 2
Ilya: I'm guessing the wall radiating magic is a part of it
Ilya: Can we try to figure out what spell that is?
 *** Ilya looks at mages
DM: It is currently… May 9
Taranis: we've got the original way out
 *** Aleksei thinks
         Ilya: We do, but
 *** Aleksei Int check
Taranis: it was more we had to hide down here than we had to never go out there again

Aleksei: // I'm just going to note, ooc, that I have failed to remember a bit of info
Aleksei: // that I think would be relevant
Aleksei: // no comment on what it is
           DM: Let's see.
Ilya: //you realize that players don't proc their own int checks right.
         Ilya: // :P
      Aleksei: // lol proc
DM: Aleksei recognizes the effect as that of Meld into Stone
         Ilya: //the word is valid
Aleksei: // well look, it's a legitimate thing
      Aleksei: Oh
Ilya: //I don't agree, but whatever.
Aleksei: So is the wall STILL radiating?
           DM: no
      Aleksei: Ah
         Ilya: ok
         Ilya: so that's not useful
Aleksei: So he was melt into the wall
         Ilya: any other exits?
      Aleksei: melded.
         Ilya: search plox
*** Aleksei is bad at searching
      Aleksei: or wait
Aleksei: It's Perception now isn't it
      Taranis: yes

           DM: No other exits.
      Aleksei: No Exit™.
Taranis: yeah I see why but I kinda like the distinction between search & spot/listen
DM: Your search does turn up a lot of lewts...
      Aleksei: woo lewts
DM: but most of it is mundane, and hard to carry. A quick estimate values most of it at about 10k, but much of that is a mix of assorted mundane equipment.
Ilya: So we leave that here.
Taranis: so a lot of stuff for later
         Ilya: right
      Taranis: anything pings detect magic?
           DM: nope
           DM: as before
Ilya: I guess we should take a peek outside the hatch?
Taranis: any smaller things of relatively high value?
Taranis: any supplies of use to us? more food, say?
         Ilya: masterwork weaponry?
DM: No food or masterwork gear.
           DM: There's some coins...
DM: Let's say you can grab 500gp worth easily
      Aleksei: Cool
           DM: So...
DM: You go to the hatch.
 *** Ilya peeks out
Taranis: well I guess we can come back with a wagon at some oint
DM: That voice that was yelling and screaming earlier...
DM: Well, it's still yelling, but rather than yelling at people, it sounds like the person is getting quite drunk.
Taranis: i guess we left the booze
         Ilya: we did.
         Ilya: also our horses.
DM: I assumed you did… it's not like you were bringing the horses down here.
         Ilya: yep
           DM: So...
           DM: here's the deal.
DM: the hatch is at 17,10
         Ilya: the brown square right
           DM: Yep
DM: This room has no ceiling.
Taranis: so we can come up from there at, essentially, any time
           DM: It's clearly caved in.
         Trip: squiggles!
         Trip: right?
DM: Aye. It looks like most of those rocks were pushed there after the fact to clear the area.
DM: What's left of the ceiling starts about halfway pastthat rock pile
DM: Someone thin might be able to squeeze in between the rocks and the ceiling, and you could easily climb up onto the roof.
Ilya: can we see the yelling dude?
DM: The room to the north of you also has also lost its ceiling, although a stairway has been built up to a wooden tower resting on the far wall.
DM: The yelling is coming most loudly from past the fallen rocks
Ilya: so if we went up there it is unlikely that the source of yelling would see us
Ilya: can we see anyone else watching the hathc
         Ilya: hatch
           DM: Up on the roof?
         Ilya: ?
           DM: Oh, the hatch
DM: No, although it looks like it's seen some activity, there's a firepit (currently not being used).
Trip: I am a pretty tiny person
DM: that is, the room with the hatch
           DM: So.
Taranis: Well, it would seem that getting to the tower would be ideal
Taranis: there is probably a watcher there
           DM: Hmm...
Taranis: but it would give Elias a good vantage point to shoot (I think) and me as well... for my two spells left with any range
Ilya: the question is, how can we get to the leader guy without alerting all of his guards
      Taranis: well... we probably can't
Taranis: I mean, I've got two Sleeps
Taranis: which will negate a decent number of guards, if we'v egot any luck
           DM: So...
DM: it is currently 6:30 EST. I propose we pause here.
         Ilya: k
DM: 2 weeks from now, I (and some of you) will be otherwise occupied.
DM: So, I pose two possibilities.
Trip: Well, that would be Christmas Day
           DM: quite
         Ilya: that's what he meant.
DM: 1: will people be about on the 28th and/or 29th?
        Elias: not us
           DM: noted.
Trip: um, I know. What about next Sunday?
DM: possibility two, we shift things forward to next sunday
Trip: I vote for option 2, if possible.
Taranis: 28th/29th we are not here
DM: Ok, well, I'll start up a forum thread and send out an email.
Ilya: I'm fine with next week
Elias: we'll be around next week
DM: k. Well, if everyone signs off on it, then next week it is.
DM: And with that, any questions or comments?
         Ilya: law of standard actions!
DM: (and if not then g'night all)
DM: You only get one per turn?
Ilya: is that you singular or plural
Ilya: no the law of standard actions is that the guys with the most of them win.
         Ilya: clearly
           DM: It's true
Aleksei: Next week is good for me
DM: (I should point out then, that the Stag Lord has 14-3 of them on his side)
         Ilya: yep
Ilya: which is why we have to fight him alone
         Trip: No owlbear mayhem?
Aleksei: We kill his dudes in small groups
Aleksei: And then we kill him
        Elias: I guess not
Elias: I was all about that
         Trip: aww
Ilya: I'm all for that if we can FIND it
      Aleksei: Right
Elias: logic would say, in the center building
        Elias: listen for the raging
DM: Well… you showed up here close to nightfall, right?
Trip: Logic would also say it's probably only going to attack us.
           DM: It's now night.
           DM: so...
Trip: That's how these things work usually.
           DM: the hooting has started
DM: and it's coming from beyond the rocks.
DM: the hooting and the growling.
         Trip: Owlbears hoot, right?
         Ilya: o rly.
         Trip: How hilarious.
Elias: well then when it tries to attack us, we run until we find the lord
Elias: because odds are the underlings will run from a freed owlbear
           DM:
         Trip: um. Wow.
Aleksei: It's a bear who is an owl
Aleksei: The name is quite literally descriptive
Aleksei: And not at all metaphorical
Trip: From what I can see, that's a lot more bear than owl.
      Aleksei: Well it has feather
      Aleksei: s
Trip: Although the feet are owly
           DM: Aye, that's not fur.
           DM:
